The easy-to-use and reliable SP100 static pressure controller is designed to accurately operate air inlets so the optimal ventilation for your animals is always correct keeping them healthy and productive.
How it works
The static pressure controller regulates the indoor and outdoor static pressure differences by varying the amount of time the air inlet is open and closed. Wouter Claassens, Munters Applications Manager explains how it works.
"Using a static pressure controller is the most simple and trouble free way of controlling air inlet opening sizes. If cold outside air enters a building through air inlets at a too low speed, it will fall to the bottom of the building and directly onto the animals inside. To prevent this, SP100 static pressure controller regulates the air speed since the air speed through the air inlets is dependent on the static pressure differences between the inside and the outside of the building. The size of the static pressure differences can be regulated by varying the amount of time the air inlet is opened."
Features
Low or high static pressures usually indicate a ventilation malfunction which could have undesirable consequences on the livestock's health. Since the SP100 controller operates on static pressure, problems with ventilation can easily be detected since it features an alarm output relay. With the static pressure controllers' adjustable alarm, ventilation mishaps can be detected early and in time.
The alarm also features an adjustable time delay which eliminates unnecessary alarms due to wind gusts or long opening and closing ventilation times. There is also a manual override for opening and closing if needed.
Combined with the CCB100 Climate Controller Series and a TDC closing system for air inlets, the SP100 completes the solution for effective climate control from Munters.
